Tonya R. Young, MSN, FNP-BC
Meet Tonya, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner backed by an impressive 17-year tenure in the medical field. A passionate and dedicated medical professional, Tonya has a diverse educational background. In 2006, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Science, coupled with a minor in Environmental Microbiology, from West Virginia University.
Inspired by a deep-seated desire to make a difference in the lives of others through the medical field, she returned to academia to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2007. During this period, she stepped into the medical world as a clinical associate at West Virginia University Hospital, gaining invaluable practical experience.
Upon graduation, Tonya began her career as a registered nurse in the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Units at the same hospital, expanding her experience to the Pre- and Post-Anesthesia Care Units. Never one to rest on her laurels, she continued her educational journey at West Virginia University and earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2011.
Since then, Tonya has served as a Family Nurse Practitioner, applying her skills in family practice and school-based health. Her dedication extends to her personal life as well. Tonya is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Russell Young, who also contributes to the Medical Spa. Together, they are parents to three wonderful children - Silas, Oliver, and Elliot, and proud pet parents to three dogs, a kitty, an an axolotl that resides at the clinic.
Born and raised in Gassaway, WV, Tonya has been serving Braxton County for many years, staying true to her commitment to community health.
Tonya has harbored a lifelong interest in skincare and aesthetics. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to learning about various skincare ingredients, exploring how they can be harnessed to treat specific skin conditions and promote overall skin health.
